The first “Philippine-Israel Business Forum” in collaboration with the Bureau of Trade Promotion of the Department of Trade and Industry, the Embassy of Israel and the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines was held at the AVR Ground flr., DTI International, Makati City on March 7, 2012.
More than 80 attendees from various industries and government agencies attended the forum. The forum highlighted the potentials of both nations in terms of products, import-export accessibility, investment incentives which evidently favor investors. (read more...)

The forum was presided by President Josef Gueta, supported by the Members of the Board, Vice President for Internal Affairs, Mrs. Teresita Arvisu, Vice President for External Affairs, Mr. Alejandro Kohan, Mr. Eugenio Ynion, Jr. Director and Ex-Officio, Mr. Isidor Gilan with Guest of Honor, Amb. Zvi Vapni of Israel Embassy, Keynote guest speakers, Rafi Brender, Deputy Director, Foreign Trade and Administration of the Israel Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Mr. Ophir Gore, Israel Economic Attache in Taipei held last April 06, 2011, 12noon at the Han and Tang Rooms of the Tower Club, 33rd Floor, Philamlife Bldg. Paseo de Roxas Makati City.
One of the keynote guests, Mr. Rafi Brender gave an interesting overview of Israel Economy with emphasis on the present import and export statistics and R and D investment. His presentation highlighted Israel’s economy experiencing constant positive growth, a high level of stability compared to other countries. The past decade’s industrial export statistics effected by rapid growth of High Tech industry, as well as the significance of R and D in private and government organizations

2011 GMM Annual Election
The ICCP Annual Election was held last March 14, 2011 at the Baron Bars at the Tower Club at Philamlife Building, Paseo de Roxas, Makati.
Mr. Gonzalo "Jun" Catan, election committee chairman introduced the candidates before the members and later, with the majority of votes in favor of nine candidates, announced the names of the New Board of Trustees.

2011First ICCP General Membership Meeting
H.E. Amb. Zvi Vapni Israel' Government Presentation and President's Report on ICCP's achievements
The renewal of thriving friendship and cooperation between the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and the Embassy of State of Israel in Manila held last January 31, 2011 in the evening at the Turf room of the Manila Hotel located at the heart of the business and sports district in Makati.
The event showcased the 2010 ICCP activities and its cooperation with the Embassy of Israel whcih was presented by non other than ICCP incumbent president, Mr. Isidor Gilan. Coinciding the presentation, the H.E. Ambassador Zvi Vapni presented the past and current TRade and Cultural activities of Israel Embassy and its Government. Mr. Gilan additionally presented the brilliant invention and Israeli inqenuity with the intention to create awareness among members and guests on some outstanding technology innovation which have been introduced and originated in Israel.
The Chamber also invited the Chairman of Shalom Club, Ms. Zeny Ubaldo who presented brief introduction of the club whcih followed by privilege speeches of Mr. Ces Atienza of ZIM Line and EL AL, GSA President, Ms. Ma. Teresita Arvisu.
The first ICCP Trade Directory was also unveiled, fellowship and business networking immediately followed.
2010 Hannukah Celebration
Hannukah Celebration with members and friends at the Manila polo Club
ICCP Hannukah Celebration was held last December 09, 2010 at Forbes Cameron room at the Manila Polo Club.
It is an ICCP traditional way to celebrate and network with members and friends, get together, way of chilling out with festive atmosphere of Hannukah celebration.
A well celebrated event with some of our members and Friends. Mr. Josef Gueta commenced the program and followed by Mr. Vaknin Yftach, ICCP Director, who lighted the Hannukah Menorah and made a solemn prayers while lighting the candle.
The celebration was full of fun and excitement as it hosted by 3 of our active members, Mrs. Tess Arvisu, EL AL Israel Air line, GSA President and ICCP Director, Ms. Tata Pintac of Asian Tigers and Ms. Rose marie Galang of Ephesus Travel and Tours.
The three eloquent and lovely hostesses made it more lively and fun hosting games and raffle for guests and members and it turned out to be an exciting networking with fellow members and their invited guests.

The ICCP General Membership Meeting with Governor Amando Tetangco, Jr. of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, was held last September 3, 2010 at the Turf Room of the Manila Polo Club.

On July 29, 2010, at the Ambassador's residence in Makati, top officials of 12 different companies meet together on the Third Ambassador's Breakfast Forum hosted by Hon. Ambassador Zvi Vapni with keynote guest, Mr. James Go, Chairman and CEO JG Summit.
This periodic forum is a joint initiative of the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and the Israel Embassy. The cooperation is designed to create an avenue to foster Filipino and Israeli ICCP Members and top businessmen to participate in a forum where the Ambassador shares his perceptions of the current political and economic condition of Israel, likewise, shares genuine ideas and opinion amongst participants and keynote guest. Apparently, the forum is a vital quest aims to establish business ties and camaraderie among major key players in various industries.
The next forum will feature Security and Defense Sector. Committee on Security and Defense headed by Mr. Josef Gueta, ICCP Vice President on External Affairs and Mrs. Maria Theresa Villaruel, Treasurer and Director will facilitate the organization of the forum.

The official unveiling of the newly transformed Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines was held last January 15, 2010 at the Turf Room of the Manila Polo Club.
More than a hundred generous businessmen attended the event amidst their busy schedule to witness the unprecedented launching of the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines formerly known as Philippine Israel Business Association.
Incumbent president, Mr. Isidor Gilan welcomed guests with great enthusiasm, encouraging everyone to join ICCP's mission to promote bilateral trade between the Philippines and the State of Israel. ICCP held its First Ambassador's Breakfast Forum on Tourism last October 08, 2009 at Trophy Room, Manila Polo Club. The Forum was attended by 11 Travel and Tours Operators and 1 from Hotel Industry.
The breakfast forum was successfully organized by Mrs. Teresita Arvisu, ICCP VP Internal Affairs, Mr. Joseph Gueta, ICCP External Affairs and Head of Tourism Committee and Mr. Ferdinand Sarfati, ICCP Executive Director in cooperation with the Embassy of Israel. Its main thrust is to encourage and hook up Travel and Tourism and Hotel operators to the huge opportunities that have been identified in Tourism related industries.
Hon. Amb. Zvi Vapni presided the breakfast forum and trashed out the objective of the meeting which is to mainly establish the opportunities of Tourism Industry between the Philippines and the State of Israel. (read more...)
Seminar on "Water Technology in Israel"

Last September 15, 2009 at Bahia, Intercontinental Hotel, Makati, almost a hundred participants from Private and Government Water District from region I to IV attended the Seminar on Water Techonology in Israel.
The Seminar encapsulated the global perspective on water and environmental challenges facing the entire world and the current trends and technologies that create awareness and solutions to address the global water crisis.
The event was a joint project of the Israel Embassy and the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines as a prelude to the upcoming 5th International Water Technologies and Environmental Control Exhibition and the 2nd International Conference in Tel Aviv, Israel.(read more...)

The newly transformed Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ICCP) prepares itself in enhancing and boosting business and trade relations between Israel and the Philippines as it hosted the President of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ran Cohen, who is also a former Minister of Trade & Industry in Israel. The dinner was held on July 13, 2009 at Ballroom 1, Mandarin Oriental Manila, Makati City. ICCP sought to establish relations and gain insights from the renowned economist from Israel.
Following the successful dinner, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing was held at theEmbassy of Israel on July 14, 2009. The Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines represented by its Director, Mr. Isidor Gilan, signed a MOU with the Chairman of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Atty. Miguel Varela, and the President of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ran Cohen. Present during the signing is H.E. Zvi Vapni, Ambassador of the Embassy of the State of Israel. (read more...)
RP, Israel eye intensified trade relations
The Philippines and Israel are bent on increasing trade relations, starting with finding new markets in both countries.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the matter was signed this week by Isidor Gilan, director of the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines; Miguel Varela, chairman of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Ran Cohen, president of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce.
Under the pact, a study mission to Israel will be organized by the three chambers to explore areas of collaboration that will broaden trade and investment between the two countries.
